I am bullish on Houston becoming a world leader in healthcare innovation. It is the perfect launchpad to pioneer new technologies and revolutionize healthcare.

A Thriving Ecosystem for Healthcare Innovation Houston, with its large and diverse patient population, talent pool, and high caliber of research, offers unique advantages as a healthcare innovation hub. According to a report by the Center for Houston’s Future, telehealth, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and wearable technologies have seen significant growth in the Houston Area, driven by regulatory and reimbursement changes.
Economic Growth through Healthcare Innovation Economic modeling reveals that 1 in 6 jobs added in Houston from 2021 to 2036 will be in healthcare, driving an increase of $63.5 billion to the local economy. The city is dedicated to improving health and health equity, advancing health technology, and addressing healthcare workforce burnout and shortages.
The Largest Medical Center in the World Houston is home to the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. It has built its very own innovation hub, Texas Medical Center Innovation, to provide networks, partnerships, and resources to advance the development of technology companies dedicated to improving healthcare.
Innovation Hubs Fostering Collaboration Innovation hubs have sprung up throughout Houston, providing ample opportunities for collaboration. Houston Methodist partnered with Ion Houston to support entrepreneurs and innovators focusing on healthcare innovation.
